This year's partner of the Berlin-Brandenburg booth is Canada. For decades, Canada has been one of the largest and state-of-the-art AAA gaming ecosystems in the world. Since 2017, Berlin and Canadian media funds have funded 17 co-development projects with 1.1 million Euros through the »German-Canadian Media Incentive«. In addition the medianet GAMES International - Transatlantic Initiative, funded by the Senate Department for ECONOMICS, has further strengthened the networks with Canadian games companies. We are very proud of these ties: Not only are they important for the development of great games, but also for further strengthening and developing our regional ecosystem. Our goal is to make Berlin the No. 1 gaming hotspot in Germany and one of the most renowned gaming hubs in Europe!

I am convinced that the Berlin-Brandenburg booth at gamescom 2024 is going to be a melting pot for inspiring connections, innovative ideas and successful business!

After welcoming words by Senator for economics, energy and public enterprises Franziska Giffey and Jeannine Koch, Managing Director of medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V., our Berlin-Brandenburg reception will take place from 1 to 2:30 pm.

For the third time, we will be organising our reception together with a host region. We are very happy about the cooperation with the Canadian Media Fund.

Together we will celebrate this collaboration with an exquisite mix of traditional Berlin specialities and Canadian delicacies.
